Best stadium in college football??

I'm a loyal Texas fan...but went to a game at the "Shoe" and it was pretty damn cool!!

Best stadium in college football??
The horse shoe is the best stadium in college it's packed with a sea of scarlet and gray every Saturday and it's a great place to watch a game especially when Michigan comes to town it's even better fans freezing to death and screaming their lungs out for four quarters
Reply:Doak which houses the powerhouse team of Florida State is my favorite but here are the best:

Notre Dame Stadium, Notre Dame ,

Ohio Stadium, Ohio State University ,

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, University of Florida,

Memorial Stadium, University of Nebraska,

Neyland Stadium, University of Tennessee,

Tiger Stadium, LSU,

Michigan Stadium, University of Michigan,

Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn University,

Beaver Stadium, Penn State,

Sanford Stadium, University of Georgia,

Kyle Field, Texas A%26amp;M,

Folsom Field, University of Colorado

L.A. Coliseum, University of Southern California

Bryant-Denny Stadium, University of Alabama

Lane Stadium/Worsham Field, Virginia Tech

Camp Randall, University of Wisconsin

Autzen Stadium, University of Oregon

Memorial Stadium, Clemson

Michie Stadium, Army

Rose Bowl, UCLA

Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, University of Texas

Husky Stadium, University of Washington

Falcon Stadium, Air Force Academy

Kinnick Stadium, University of Iowa
Reply:That's a very generic question.

Worse atmosphere would have to be Georgia's stadium. Grown men barking at strangers with bad breathe isn't that great of a time. So much for Southern Hospitality.

Michigan at the BH is pretty damn nice. 10AhC was nice but fans are sore losers after losing, they were boring afterwards. I would have to say South Carolina or Penn State.
Reply:yeah the Shoe is great.....coming from a Penn State fan....

I'll stick with it....sadly
Reply:Beaver Stadium..just asked Troy Smith...i was there and im pretty sure he would like to forget tht game a couple years ago..he is still seeing white!!!
Reply:Jordan-Hare Stadium - War Eagle!
Reply:The absolute best College Football stadium is Ohio Stadium, AKA the Horseshoe, home of THE Ohio State Buckeyes. They had a perfect renovation and made the best better. It also holds 102,000 crazy Buckeye fans every Saturday. The field was lowered an extra 15 feet, making it that much harder to play there. Ive been there a few times, and I thought it was better than some NFL stadiums Ive been to.

Another stadium thats great is Tiger Stadium, AKA Death Valley, home of the LSU Tigers. Imagine 92,000 drunk, rowdy, football loving Louisianians all in one stadium. What do you get? The loudest football stadium ever. Period. The crowd noise at Tiger Stadium once registered on an earthquake scale, and many coaches have testified that it is by far the toughest place to play.
Reply:Clemson Memorial Stadium aka Death Valley!!!!

This place registers as small earthquakes during games. Just the people who attended the 2005 Miami vs Clemson triple ot game!!!!

This has got to be on the top ten (if not five) best stadiums in CFB!!!
Reply:If you are looking for a big stadium than it is Ohio St. with the famed horse shoe. If you are looking for a great well built stadium it would be Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. Buckets seats and beer. It is louder than most 45,000 seat stadiums too. Wisconsin is nice as well. Ohio St. is biggest. Louisville is one of the only stadiums to allow beer. Just wacth out for louisville when they get the 80,000 seat expansion. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! WOOT WOOT
Reply:Kyle Field- Texas A%26amp;M
Reply:Camp Randall Stadium (U of Wisconsin) has the craziest and funnest student section. They collapse walls (UW vs. Michigan game 93'), have bare "hooter" contests, and every game in between the third and fourth quarters, they play "Jump Around" and I can hear that noise where I live more than a mile away
Reply:Haven't been watching College Football for long, but I too am truly impressed with Ohio Stadium.

I'll be able to give a more objective answer when I've seen more games and stadia.
Reply:I feel sorry for all you sheltered souls that have never been to one of the main stadiums in the SEC. I will put Tennessee's, LSU's, Florida's and Auburn's stadiums against anyone else's stadium in the country when it comes to intimidation and noise.

I'm not saying that the horse shoe isn't any good because I have been and it is pretty awesome just not as good as say a Tennessee Florida game at either stadium. Nortre Dame is impressive as well.

I recommend all of you see a big game at any of these sites. If you come to Tennessee your welcome to come and tailgate with me. I hope you like beer, southern girls, good food and getting crazy.
Reply:Neyland Stadium, University of Tennessee. Access by the Tennessee River for the Vol Navy, tailgating beyond compare, plenty of restaurants and bars, plenty of shopping and beautiful East Tennessee scenery....On a crisp autumn day, it's nearly impossible to beat it!
Reply:Go to Samford stadium UGA the whole place is crazy even when they play Georgia Tech, Tech fans don't like to go to the game because there scared it is the craziest place you will ever go to. the only place where a complet stranger becomes your best friend because you have one thing in common thats the dawgs. If you have never been to a game there try it one day and you will have the time of your life(if you wear red if not sorry).
Reply:You're exactly right. Ohio Stadium is probably the best in college football. It has the right combination of everything a football stadium should have; A long storied history, classic looks (the place looks like where Roman gladiators might be battling) and design, very large capacity 100,000+, rabid but usually respectful (unless you're at the Michigan game) fans, excellent tailgate atmosphere, and the pageantry of "The Best Damn Band In The Land" to make for a really memorable football experience.

Other notable great college stadiums:

Michigan Stadium (Michigan Wolverines)

The Rose Bowl (USC Trojans)

Neyland Stadium (Tennessee Volunteers)

Sanford Stadium (Georgia Bulldogs)

Kyle Field (Texas A%26amp;M Aggies. I know your a Longhorn but you have to admit the great atmosphere of the 12th man.)

Notre Dame Stadium (Notre Dame Fighting Irish)

Harvard Stadium (Harvard Crimson)

Yale Bowl (Yale Bulldogs)
Reply:Tiger Stadium aka Death Valley. 93,500 of the loudest, craziest, most highly intoxicated fans in the country. Ask VT in a couple of months.
Reply:Ohio State's Horse Shoe no doubt. I'm from california but I gotta say OSU has the best stadium.
Reply:My own native Wisconsin Badgers have a great stadium (camp randall) with the most fun and vibrant community i have ever been in all around. Most fun stadium there is!

Ohio State is pretty cool too.
Reply:PENN STATE BEAVER STADIUM 107,000+ ASK THOSE BUCKEYE FANS HOW THEY COULD FEEL THE ELECTRICITY IN THE AIR IN 05 I TALKED TO SEVERAL AND SAID THEY NEVER FELT THAT KIND OF MAGNITUDE BEFORE AT THE SHOE.
Reply:O-H-I-O State Da Shoe!!!!
Reply:kneeland stadium in knoxville, tn
Reply:Penn State was the best stadium I've ever been in. Although Rutgers Stadium is pretty bad azz itself.

GO RU!
Reply:The Swamp, Florida Gators
Reply:I wouldn't want to play in College Station, them Aggies are out of control
Reply:USC
Reply:Tiger Stadium on the LSU campus. It is always ranked among the top stadiums as the toughest for visiting teams to play because of the crowd noise. Also, the Golden Band from Tigerland puts on the best pregame show.
Reply:UGA, go dawgs! sic em! ruffruffruffruff!
Reply:I would have to say the SEC has the top football stadiums in the country. It has three of the top 5 stadiums in the nation. Florida - "The Swamp"; Tennessee - "Neyland Stadium"; LSU - "Tiger Stadium, Death valley".

LSU is definitely the toughest stadium to go and play. It is the loudest i have EVER heard stadium be. Also, the fans are so loud, crazy and drunk (somehow, those all just go together) it is nearly impossible to play a road game there. Plus, the seats are so close to the field, it feels like the fans are just sitting on top of you. Just a great college football atmosphere!!! A close number 2 is "The Swamp"

Check out the link and see what they think
Reply:The Swamp!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Gators!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also like the Longhorns stadium too
