Does the 2006 Ohio State Football team have what it takes to win the National Championship?

The Buckeyes have started the season off with three impressive victories, especially a 24-7 romp of Texas in Austin. There is still a ton of season left with big games coming this weekend at home against Penn State, away at Iowa, and a huge matchup against Michigan at the Shoe. So do they have what it takes to take it all?

Does the 2006 Ohio State Football team have what it takes to win the National Championship?
I truly think that the Michigan game will be the ultimate test , If everything plays out and Michigan and Ohio State play for the Big Ten Title that winner will go on to the National Championship possibly against SUC , oops ! I mean USC ha ha ! or the SEC Champion .

Reply:Yes because you will need to watch out for Ginn and the leadership of Troy Smith but dont forget about Gonzalez. Also the defense has done wonderful with losing 9 starters to the NFL.

Reply:ABSOLUTELY. THEY HAVE ALREADY PROVEN THEY CAN WIN THE BIG GAME. THEY HAVE 2 TOUGH GAMES IN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS, PLUS THE REST OF A BIG TEN SCHEDULE, AND MICHIGAN AT THE END OF THE YEAR.....NOT THE EASIEST SCHEDULE IN THE WORLD, BUT I HAVE CONFIDENCE IN MY BUCKEYES.

Reply:Yes it does. But the same can also be said for Auburn, USC, Michigan, Florida, and West Virginia.





At this early juncture, it's anybody's season. Personally if two teams make it through the year unscathed, I'll be amazed.

Reply:They are a very good offensive team but do not have any defense they will lose to Iowa and Michigan
Reply:Michigans going to be there biggest challenge. Dont get me wrong, Texas WAS there biggest challege, but Michigan IS there biggest challege remaining. If they (Troy Smith) stay healthy, then I would say they have a ligitimete chance to win it all. Id say USC and OSU would be a GREAT championship matchup.

Reply:Yes. As long as the defense continues to improve and the offense stays healthy. There is no other dominant team in the nation. Michigan may be the biggest hurdle and it should be a great game if both teams stay undefeated.
