What are some good cleats for football? Is UnderArmour worth it?

I'm going out for O-line for the first time, and I need cleats. I'm 6'3", 340 lbs and I wear a size 13 4E in a shoe, and a 3X in shirt. (I mentioned height and weight because I don't know if that can influence cleats breaking down), so what would be a nice cleat and should I get a specific type of UnderArmour? Specific items or maybe links would be nice.

Thanks for the help.

The type of shoe is not nearly as important as the comfort level. If your worried about cleats wearing down, buy the screw in types that you can replace as they wear down. Ive always had the best luck with Nike spikes, but choose for comfort and support. If you have ankle problems, I would recommend a higher spike for additional ankle support! Most screw in spikes come with a wrench to replace them, and you can buy bags of replacable cleats for just a few dollars! Its worth the investment!
Reply:They are called skill positions though! Report It

Reply:Be careful you don't sink in the mud! Just kidding big man, Just wear what makes you feel comfortable for now....If the game and you are a good match, there's lots of 'add-ons' on the market....Good Luck...Remember, Foot-Speed is your primary weapon.....
Reply:I was strong safety this season for my high school. And I got UA cleats and I can tell you their worth it. But it would be better if you try them out before you buy them. And by the way, the comfort level is much more important than the brand!
Reply:heh, i play tackle/noseguard and for one thing you definently need cleats. My freshman year i tried to play with sneakers and nothings worse than when it rains, you get hit and slide back in the mud. (can happen on grass too, if you get hit hard enough) my team gave us underarmor and it definently helped compared to wearing a t-shirt. Depending on what type of weather you have is the type of under armor you should wear. there is underarmor built for cold and heat and theres also all weather under armor for if youre in a place where the weather isn't constant.
Reply:don't know about the cleats for a lineman, i was a back...but under Armour is definitely worth the price.
Reply:Yeah man underarmour is worth it.
Reply:If you play a skilled position (QB, WR, CB, RB, etc.) then Under Armour cleats are great. But since your a linemen Under Armour cleats are the worst cleats you can get. The reason is because UA cleats are made with two seperate plates that hold the spikes on the bottom of the cleats (one plate on the toes and another on the heel). the plate on the toe end is secured well but the plate on the heel is just glued on to the shoe. Because its only glued it falls off when put under constant stress and you being a linemen you'll be putting stress on your heels pretty much evry play. This stress will cause the plate to fall off and you'll have to go buy another pair of cleats. This happened to two of the offensive linemen that were on my team this year (they were the only two that had under armour cleats). For you I would go with some of the Nike Team Code D (wide). they're very good cleats. comfortable and durable. These are the cleats that the two linemen that had their cleats break switched to. Very good cleats. thats all i can say
