Can you punt in the NFL without shoes on????
I don't see why not
Reply:I'm sure you could, no rules against it, but why would you? Thinks you'd have many spike marks and probably broken toes from getting stepped on numerous times during the course of a single game.

I doubt a team would let a guy do that now and risk injury.
Reply:yeah, but it hasnt been done in years.
Reply:You add more velocity and hit with the special shoes. It would also be much less painful in cooler weather. There have been kickers kick barefoot.
Reply:Im sure you can but it would sting really bad in the cold...I remember there was a kicker that kicked barefoot...hope you dont get your feet stepped on either.

Reply:I cannot remember ever seeing a barefoot punter in the nfl-I guess you could,but your season would be over if one of the 300 pounders stepped on your foot.
