What if you were told you can't play soccer/football anymore?

I just joined my high school soccer/football team but I dislocated my knee yesterday (its not as bad as it sounds).

I will see a doctor tomorrow and I'm sure I will be healthy enough to play in less than a week.

I also had a cuncussion 2 years ago during a game and I had to be rushed to the Emergency room.

My mom says my injuries are a sign from God that I should stop playing soccer before something worse happens.

Now my parents and my siblings want me to stop playing soccer.

But I can't imagine myself not playing soccer.

What would you do if you were in my shoes?

What if you were told you can't play soccer/football anymore?
To me it's hard thinking that I won't be able to play soccer after playing it all my life.

My advice is take a rest and be sure you heal to the max.

What your mom says is true about signs from god but think positively, god permits those injuries to happen to you, as he knows that you can take these challengers and just want to test on how you dealt with it.

In other words, if someone sprain him/her ankle while walking to the groceries or wherever. Does that mean that person has to stop walking all his life?

Whatever it is, be strong. everything happens for a reason.
Reply:You get injured at almost every sport not just football. If it's seen as a sign then there wouldn't be many footballers around as they all get injured one time or another. That's why its called physical activity.
Reply:I can relate to this somewhat.I use to run cross country and I LOVED it. but i got a knee injury one year which slowed that season done and i got an injury thge next year, which put me out for th eseason, then the year after that I got another injury that left me having to pick between staaying on the team or leaving.I picked to drop out. It was too much to take. I absolutely love to run but th einjuries seemed to tell me to stop. Idk if this will help you but if you do quit, you will definetly miss it, but i'm sure that it would all work out somehow, good luck!(with your desicscion and your injury!)
Reply:CONCENTRATE ON YOUR STUDIES AND LISTEN TO THE OTHER PEOPLE. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP SOCCER ALTOGETHER, TAKE UP COACHING. GET A BADGE AND YOU WILL STILL BE INVOLVED WITH SOCCER.
Reply:I would keep playing until a doctor tells u that u cant play anymore
