High School Football Postition Help?
If you're in 9th grade now,5'8", 115 is a good start on football size.I don't know your family genetic structure,so your eventual size %26amp; weight proportions could be anything. Punter, or kicker are fair starts. But assuming your knee has healed, %26amp; can/will get stronger I would say you are limiting your potential. Soccor is a very demanding sport. Starting, stopping, changing directions. Think of the positions in football that require those sorts of movements.Running back, wide reciever, cornerback, safety, linebacker. It's likely you'll get bigger, both taller %26amp; heavier depending on what you eat, %26amp; how much working out you do. I'd encourage you to run long distances to keep up your stamina. Sprints to develope your speed.Lift weights for building your weight, but do high repititions to develop durability. Don't put limits on yourself. Push yourself to find out what you CAN DO. If that becomes your mind-set you will be more than "just another HS athelete".
Reply:ask your coach not yahoo answers you h0m0
Reply:it all depends on wat size school
Reply:Usually punters dont have to be very big, and any high school football player who can bunt the ball 40 yards is incredible (the best hs punter in california averages 41 yards), so try out for punter. Or if u have any other ideas on what position u wanna be, just tell the coach during or after tryouts.
