What football position should I play?

I am 5 ft 11in-6ft

I weigh 150 pounds

I'm in 7th grade so this is for 8th grade

I run really fast a 5 second 40 but that was in the grass in basket ball shoes everyone else was slower and had cleats.

I have good arm strength and can throw a football about 60 yards not accurately though

ask for any additional info

What football position should I play?
Try out for the position you would like to ply then let your coach decide the best position for you.
Reply:how much can you bench press/how strong are you

my QB last year (8th grade was the best in the leage and he was 6 foot 1, could throw 70 yards, and could run a 4. 8, and he could bench 150, 10 times, he is a littel past you in every thing so just work at throwing and do some yoga (it really helps) and you could probly run as fast as him with cleats on. so work at it and by next year you could be a great QB.
Reply:Uh, i'd say left half or a wingback or something along those lines. Everyone on my team can throw the ball pretty far so arm strength isn't like huge especially if it isnt accurate.

You run pretty fast so you can use your speed in open field and they may be able to use you on trick plays and you can end up throwing the ball either way..

let the coach decide though, he probably knows better than any of us here.
Reply:It depends. There are positions on both offense and defense (it's interesting that very few if anyone mentioned defense) for a particular body type. For your size at that age, you would be great at receiver, quarterback or defensive back (I'm thinking safety). If you like to hit, defense is for you; if you like to make moves on defenders, offense is your goal.

Over the next few years, your body will change and you could develop into a tight end, defensive end, or outside linebacker. But, for now, you may want to stick to the "skill positions".
Reply:because of your height and speed i would recommend tryin out for wide receiver. your height can help u grab passes over the defenders and u can use your speed to burn the dbacks. even tho u have good arm strength, it rly doesnt matter if ur not accurate, so i would recommend becoming a wideout.
Reply:QB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try running it as a QB you seem like you'll be good!!!!!!!!!

Please everyone who reads this please take the time to anwser this q my friend ask this and he wants anwser!!!!!

Reply:At your age, you have good enough size to play anything. Realistically, in middle school, guys your size even played offensive/defensive line. So whatever you want. But I'd say WR if you can catch.
Reply:I think wide reciever. =D

Mostly because you say you have a good arm, if you cant throuw a football accurately i would try catching. so maybe tight end or wide reciever.
Reply:DB,QB, or WR is probably the the best spot

but i would personally go with DB (safety or cornerback)
Reply:With your speed, you can probably play WR. If you get more accurate, you'd be a devastating running QB.
Reply:if you have good feet and can't catch DB

if you have good feet and can catch WR

Simple!
Reply:Whatever you are good at

at your size and speed a linebacker or a back would be a great fit
Reply:Is this a joke? The NY Jets could use you then.
Reply:Tight-end or CB
Reply:work on throwng accurateky and be a QB
Reply:left out
