American Football Shoes ?

I need to buy pair of shoes for american football.


Where i live they dont sell them, only football shoes and maybe rugby.


What should i look for in soccer and rugby shoes, as they are all diffrent, so it will be most suitable for american football.


I play QB.

In America, they are called cleats. Definantly check out any sports store near you even though the best thing to do if you don't have them locally, is to look to buy them online.





Football cleats have 7 spikes; two in the back, two four between where the middle of your foot and your toes are, and one at the tip.
Reply:Depending on your physical condition, you can look for high-top (ankle support) or standard shoes.


As was prevously stated look for 7-9 "Cleats" on the sole and look for round as opposed to "blade" shaped cleats. also verify that your cleats are plastic (leather uppers) and not metal


Also look for a wider sole pattern, as a QB you will need stability to plant and throw, and less lateral movement to cut and sprint.
Reply:It also depends on if you are playing on natural grass or playing on astro turf.... check out www.eastbay.com, If you are playing on astro turf, i would suggest using a pair if TURF shoes with a toe protector for TURF TOE.... For natural grass go with the ankle protection of high tops and use lots of tape.... Just my 2 cents worth.....
Reply:You can order online from Dick's Sporting Goods, Nike.com, The Sports Authority, etc. I wouldn't go about trying to use rugby or soccer shoes.
