Motorcycle for large customer?

I know what you're thinking... another 300lb 40 something wanting a crotchrocket. Not exactly. I'm a 6'10" 250 pound size 22 shoe 18 year old, and I would really love to get myself on a smaller CC sport bike, or at the very least some sort of bike. I know these things aren't built for football/basketball players, but I'd like to know if there is any company out there that would even consider putting someone my size on one of their bikes? I'm not in this for speed, but I'd like to have something like a 250cc Ninja or Gsxr 500 for a decent pull when I get bored with it, while still having decent gas mileage. Any and all feedback and comments appreciated, thanks very much. Any links you have to specialty gear for said ubermotorcycle also desired: Size asbigastheyhave.

Stay away from sport bikes.

You won't fit on one properly and the ride will be very uncomfortable.

Your knees will be pointing sideways cause of the shape of their fuel tanks and they act as wind sails.

You'll be fighting with your "crotch" muscles to hold your knees in.

The seats don't allow you to slide your butt forward and back - you'll be locked into one seating position and will feel cramped after riding for a while.

I wouldn't recommend cruiser style bikes either.

Although you'll be a little more comfortable on them over sport bikes.

The seat heights are very short.

Your knees will be sticking so high up in the air, they will interfere with the handle bars when turning.

I'm very tall myself and know this stuff from first hand experience.

Consider an Enduro (dual purpose, on/off road).

The seat heights are very tall.

Kawasaki KLR 250 %26amp; 650

Suzuki DZ-R 200, 400 %26amp; 650

Next in line would be a standard.

Honda CB250

Honda CB750

In other words, bikes with a flat seat and an upright seating position.

Search the web for these models to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

Go to different manufacturer shops and sit on the bikes, to see what feels comfortable.
Reply:I would say a Honda VFR750
Reply:Well, I don't exactly know what to tell you!

I am 6'2" and I have unusually long legs (36 inseam). A crotch rocket cramps my legs a lot! The best I can do is Honda, as they have a little more relaxed stance.

What I did, was to get a cruiser, raise the seat, an move the controls forward.

Nowadays, I ride a scooter, where I can move my legs around.
Reply:Suzuki 650 v-strom gets good gas mileage and it's very good for a tall person. Also has plenty of power.
Reply:Harley V-Rod. Designed for that tall heavy person who wants sport and versatility at same time.
