Whats the difference between soccer shoes and football shoes?

I assume football-American football and not English footy

Football shoes are higher cut (they come up higher around the ankles). They have a tow blade/stud (usually blades).

Football cleats do not have lace covers and have a more textured surface that is not ideal for kicking a soccer ball.

Football cleats are also usually wider and do not fit as snugly as a soccer boot.

Whats the difference between soccer shoes and football shoes?
Soccer shoes are also much lighter than football shoes.
Reply:Soccer shoes allow more ankle movement and tend to be tighter to the foot. They tend to give more recoil when you kick the ball. You may notice that football kicker will sometimes wear a soocer boot on their kicking foot.
Reply:Football shoes have a sharp spike on the front of the shoe and soccer shoes don't. The Football shoes could really hurt someone on the soccer field if you step on someone's foot.
