I have about 5-6 thousands baseball cards. whats the best way to sell them and get my moneys worth?

the cards are mostly in shoe boxes in good condition and a few cheese boxes with alphabetically arranged cards...most cards are from early 80's to mid 90's with some newer ones and some basketball/football cards too

Okay, I did this with my basketball cards on ebay. Make lots of 5-10 cards and sell them for 1.00 - 4.00 each. Make sure there is at least a good card in every lot. Make sure to right things like "great to start kids off" or "good collection starter", because that will make people buy them also for their kids. If you do this correctly, and dont scam the people, you will make big money.

However, before you go off listing them as one lot, consult a price guide. You may want to sell some separately. There are alot of valuable cards from that era.

Reply:Add them to some auction sites like Ebay, yahoo or bidville. Once you have a customer base you can send notes or cards with your cards to advertise that you buy, sell and trade.

Reply:The best way to sell your collection would be to first find a sports card store near you and find out if they want to buy them. Secondly try eBay. You could sell them as a huge lot or in set. hope this can help.
