Im lost i have nothing
where is evertything i remember
i use to pump gas there but where because now its a empty space
its christmas i use to bring over my famous rice with crab meat a good treat but now its hard because i have 8 hours to drive for the holiday i miss those 10mins drive to mom house
im sick i wish mom could drive those 10mins to rub my head but all i can do is listen to her voice tell me it will be ok
my neice made 6 today i never missed the other 5 but now we have 8hours between us. i call happy birthday i love u i will get my 6punches another day
i want crawfish,a daqurie, king cake, gumbo i cant have that no more
i dont eat meat anymore because all the meat i eat is 8 hours away
no one drop in to say hi, i dont see the brand new shoe my sister brought we dont go shopping together anymore, i miss plays, little leauge football my nephew got game
i hate seeing my city like that maybe one my town and life will come back...

Reply:It sounds like you are missing the old New Orleans. I know it isn't the same physically but the spirit is what makes any where home.

Reply:Nice look inside your life. Did you relocate after Katrina? I'm on the Gulf Coast, and although I didn't get much damage myself my brothers place was completelly wiped out. He just barely made it out of New Orleans and lost everything. Best Wishes to you. Hope you find the comforts of family and home soon:)
